A few of days after Christmas, Angela, Claudia and I headed into Scarborough to make mochi with G-ma and G-pa.  Mom and Dad were without power for almost 63 hours after the ice storm. They lost a big branch off of their birch tree in the front.

Not everyone had power on their street, while we were there, a couple of Toronto Hydro trucks pulled up across the street and were hooking a line back up.

It was a challenge to see who could make the perfect mochi.
