It’s been almost a week with Bella and she fits right in. She has been a good guest. We have her until April 1st.

We got together for Dad’s 80th birthday party at Carolyn and Danny’s. Shanna even called in via Skype to do a video call. Here is Emi talking to Shanna.

We ordered Chinese food for dinner.

Here is Angela, Claudia and Melissa talking to Shanna, David and Jesse on Skype. When Shanna called earlier Jesse was out on the ski slope. It was neat for the cousins to talk and see each other.

After dinner the kids (big and small) played some road hockey.

We brought Bella with us for the visit, she travels well in the car and she wasn’t all spazzy being in a different place.

We were in Scarborough for G-pa’s birthday, so we went to see Alex’s hockey game in the the afternoon.

They were playing the top team in the round robin so far and they did well beating them after getting out to an early lead.

The Inter-County Baseball League is coming to Mississauga this year. The Stratford Nationals were bought last year and were moved to Mississauga. They will be playing their home games at the Meadowvale North Sports Park. That ball field is less than 5 km from the house. The tickets are $8.00 and kids under 12 are free. I’m looking forward to catching a few games this summer, the home opener is May 23rd.

It was an early start to Angela’s birthday week. We had the Swan’s over for dinner and some planning for the Swan 50th Open House in April. Here is Eric reading the salad dressing label, just after this picture he smelled it before putting it on his salad.

We celebrated Angela’s birthday with a cake.

Bella tired after a long day.

We are dog sitting Bella for our neighbours. Bella will be with us for a couple of weeks, the girls are quite excited to look after her.

She is a good dog, she sleeps a lot and doesn’t bark.

Here is picture of Claudia helping Gillian make brownies for dessert. We had company over for dinner.

Our friends Dwight and Susanne were in town this week and had some time for a visit. We haven’t seen them since 1997, they had never met Angela or Claudia. They’re still living over in Germany. It was good to catch up with them. Hopefully it isn’t another 12 years.

On Friday it was the Awards Assembly for second term, all three girls were receiving awards. They split the awards up by grades, so Claudia had her’s first. She received an Academic award and here she is receiving her Arts Award for Dance.

After the primary assembly was the junior and intermediate assembly. Both Angela and Gillian received the Academic Award. Here is Angela receiving her Athletic Award.

I was in Goose Bay, Labrador this week for a few days. There was so much snow, people had mini ski slopes on their front lawns. See my work blog for the photos.
It was a beautiful day in the neighbourhood.

Claudia out in the snow again.
