Rattray Marsh Clean-up

Angela’s Pathfinder group were volunteering at the annual Rattray Marsh clean-up this weekend.

We park at jack Darling Park and walk over.

Chloe came with us this year.

A shopping cart that someone pulled out.

We walked a different route than last year.

Angela and Claudia looking for garbage.

Flowers were in bloom.

A nesting swan.

Down on the shingle bar.

Gardening

Angela and Claudia were planting some seeds, except Chloe got ahold of their pots.

And the chase was on.

Captured and scolded.

Chloe slipped through their net and was now a few steps ahead of Angela.

Her exercise done, she gave the pots back and it was time to relax.

Easter Monday

The girls and Chloe.

Having a read on the front lawn.

Easter Weekend

Chloe enjoying the early spring weather.

We headed out to Carolyn and Danny’s on Good Friday. As always a good game of road hockey.

Lily.

Looks like she is concentrating on something.

Auntie Melissa going in for the cheek squeeze.

Some video of Lily smacking her lips.

Sitting content with Great G-pa, for at least a few seconds.

Getting ready to go with Claudia.

The Girls

Sisters.

Angela, Chloe and Claudia.

Gee!

Haircut

Chloe went to the groomers today for a good trim, here are the before and…

…after shots.

Down at Penn State

This week I was down in State College, PA for work. It was my annual site inspection trip to our site at Penn State. This will probably be my last trip here for awhile, as I have turned it over to one of my new guys. On the way down, I saw this burglar alarm sign on a building in Ridgway, PA. Not sure what it is for or does?

We are having problems with some local porcupines who have take a fondness to chewing on the building.

A close-up of some of the damage they have caused.

My dinner at Red Lobster, that’s lobster mac n’ cheese.

On the way back I spotted this vending machine and made us turn back so I could take a photo. It is a live bait vending machine.

You have a choice of night crawlers, meal worms, wax worms, minnows, butter worms and maggots.

Happy 14th Birthday Angela!

Angela turned 14 today.

Happy Birthday Angela!

Training

I was on a training course this week at the Canada School of Public Service down at 1 Front St. I was taking another supervisor course, only one more to go. Lots of construction in the area.

There is a Bixi bike station just outside 1 Front St., according to their website they have 1000 bikes and 80 stations in Toronto.

BIXI was created for short trips. Usage fees encourage frequent utilization for short periods of time. First, you have to subscribe or acquire a 24-hour or 72-hour access to use the service. Take out a bike as many times as you want. Trips of 30 minutes or less have no additional fees; usage fees apply for longer trips.

You can take a bike out for a maximum of 24 hours. After that time, the bike will be considered stolen and a fee of $1,000 will be charged to your credit card.

Around the House

The girls decided they were going to make a Lego stop motion film.

The set.

The star.

Chloe starting to look a little shaggy.

Angela and Chloe getting ready to clean out the Rav.
