Some recent photos of Chloe.
My Name is Chloe
Claudia posted a video she made of Chloe on her YouTube channel.
Buddyrider
With summer halfway done, we finally got out on our bikes. When I was in Jacksonville, FL for meetings back in March, I met a lady who had bought a bike seat for her dog. It turned out it was invented by a Canadian who lives in Errington, BC. I ordered a Buddyrider back in the spring and have finally been able to get Chloe out for a bike ride. This was yesterday going out for a test ride around the block.
Susan, Angela, Claudia and I went out for a short ride.

Through the forest.
As long as we were out front she was fine, but if anyone was ahead of us, she wanted to catch up to them and got squirmy in her seat. We saw some squirrels and other dogs, but they didn’t faze her.
Racoons, Possums, and Skunks
We had them all in our backyard this past week. The racoons and possum use the fences as their highway. Angela saw four raccoons and a possum on the fence together. One morning when I was heading to work, I saw the raccoon posse over on the next street.
On Monday night, Chloe got hit by a skunk in the backyard, it wasn’t a direct ht, so that was good. We are getting better at it, we had everyone concocting the mixture, and we contained Chloe to the back deck. I changed my clothes, put gloves on and scrubbed her down outside. The girls rounded up the air freshers for inside the house and none of us smelled like skunk the next day.
On Thursday morning, I let Chloe out and there was the possum on the back fence, once it cleared our yard it just froze on the fence and didn’t move. This was the best I could get for a picture.
Happy Father’s Day!
Enjoyed a relaxing day today. Susan and the girls made me a Father’s Day cake.
It had me and Chloe taking pictures of the birds in the backyard.
I was able to get out early in the backyard before the rain came this morning and the humidity later in the day. The pair of cardinals were out and about early this morning.
This one looks like an Angry Bird.
His mate.
Chloe has been working hard to keep the squirrels out of the yard.

Enjoying the Hot Weather?
I’m off for a couple of days this week, Susan is off the entire week, she’s been busy getting the girls ready for their trip. In the mornings it still bearable to sit out on the back deck and watch the birds. Here are some pictures of the new bird feeder I got for Father’s Day. There have been more House Sparrows (Passer domesticus) around the feeder recently.
A female House Sparrow.
A neighbourhood squirrel making his way along the fence before Chloe can spot it.
A bumblebee visiting the flowers.
Chloe does a good job of keeping order in the backyard, she chases the squirrels and larger birds, but is getting better letting the smaller birds feed at the feeder. She has figured out that the birds drop pieces from the suet feeder which she likes.
