Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! On Saturday Susan cooked up a turkey for dinner and subsequent soup and sandwiches for us and Gillian. We headed out to Carolyn and Danny’s on Sunday for more turkey. Lori and Dale were there with Lily and Kaiden.

On Monday we had dinner at Mom and Dad Swan’s before dropping Gillian off at her place.

Christmas Day

We headed out to Lori and Dale’s for Christmas dinner this year. Sara and the kids arrived and it was time to open presents.

Lily was right into the unwrapping mode.

We were crammed into the living room due to Marley getting into anything and everything.

Turkey Overload

We enjoyed a full weekend of turkey, it started on Saturday at home, continued on Sunday at Lori and Dale’s and finished on Monday at Mom and Dad’s in Dundas. On Sunday we finally met Kaiden, Lily’s little brother.

Marley is big now, but still a puppy and getting into trouble.

Kaiden is 3 months old and was good through dinner.

We celebrated Alex’s and Sara’s birthday, Alex is the first two numbers, Sara’s the last two.

Angela enjoyed holding Kaiden.

Lily was just as entertaining.

Lily

We headed out to Lori and Dale’s for a swim and dinner. Sara and Lily were there as well. Lily was enjoying playing in the water.

Almost asleep.

Boxing Day

We headed out to Lori’s and Dale’s for Boxing Day. Brad had bought the family a new puppy. After his Dad told him he could get a big dog… if he moved out, he wisely picked a Jack Russell mix. Her name is Marley.

Last year it was all pictures of Lily, this year she had to share the spotlight with Marley.

We bought her a circus tent from Ikea, Angela looking kind of creepy and Gillian offering a ball up.

Lily checking out the tent, I think the girls had vacated it. Marley playing with some wrapping paper.

Lily was helping herself to whatever was in the bags.

Marley took a nip at Chloe and she didn’t take that too kindly.

Both Lily and Marley had her shoe in their mouths over the course of the evening.

Shanna, Jesse and David had skyped in from Rossland.

It was an early evening as the first snowstorm of the year rolled in with high winds and blowing snow. It was a slow drive home. In the end there was 10-15cm on the ground.

Happy 1st Birthday Lily!

We headed to Hamilton on Saturday via a stop in Dundas, to visit with Grandma and Poppa and the Sweetness Bakery. Here is Chloe ready to get going. Turns out she was watching her buddy Cooper walking by across the street, that’s why she was looking so intent.

Here she is checking out the snacks.

She was painstaking in her unwrapping, one strip at a time.
