Snow in the nick of time
After a week of no snow and lots of rain, we finally got some snow today. The girls
haven't been able to get out much during their first week of holidays. This snow
came in time as they needed to get some fresh air. They spent almost two hours outside
today. Here they are in the backyard with Maddy.
Making Mochi
The girls have been waiting forever to make some mochi.
Here there are waiting for Grandma to cut the mochi.
Claudia did a pretty good job, Grandpa said she made good mochi.
Gillian and Angela have both done school projects that have included "making
mochi".

Boxing Day
We headed out to Dundas on Boxing Day. Claudia and Grandma.

puzzle.
Whoever smelt it, dealt it or whoever denied it, supplied it.
More from Christmas Day
We went to Carolyn and Danny's for Christmas Dinner. Little Emi opening a present.

Angela wearing her Christmas cracker hat.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all our family and friends!
Some of the early highlights. The girls opened their stocking presents before church.
The required photo in front of the tree.
They opened one present from Santa before we went to church. It turned out to be
a karaoke machine.
Here are the Three Tenors at work.
Digging into the rest of the presents.

Claudia and Chicken Limbo
Waiting for Mom to get off the phone, the girls and I took our own picture.
Claudia singing Jingle Bells.
The Grinch was very generous this year!
Oh Christmas Tree
Seems Claudia and I picked out a pretty good Christmas Tree this year.
The same tree with squiggly lights.
Let it snow, let it snow....
With the snow came some milder temperatures, after dinner we went for a walk around
the neighbourhood to see some of the lights. We spotted this deer across the street.
The girls were pulling each other on the toboggan.
We spotted a moose with blue antlers.
The biggest snowman in the neighbourhood. Kind of reminds me of the Stay Puff Marshmellow
Man from Ghostbusters.
Our care giver has a whole herd on her front lawn.
In case you were wondering where the title for the blog came from.
The girls posing with the snowman they made with Sarah and Ashley.
As you can see the snow was still falling, but luckily we didn't get as much as
they were forecasting, made for an easy drive into work on friday.
School Photos
The girls got their school photos back this week, they all turned out well. We had
a choice from two pictures of Angela. There was the one we picked and then another
one with her smiling with her mouth closed. We picked the one that will remind us
of how she really looked in grade two.
Venture to the city
We went into the city on Saturday to visit our friends Tim and Nancy, it has been
a long time since we have seen them, over two years. Not that we haven't tried,
but previous attempts have ended in cancellations due to someone being sick. So
we finally got to meet little Stella.
We had a great dinner and some homemade organic ice cream for dessert.
Angela ready to dig in.
Stella really enjoyed the ice cream. "Scoop?,Scoop?"
The girls posing on the cubes.
Stella giving the girls hugs and kisses.
Snow!
We got the first snowfall of the month overnight, when all is said and done it will
be about 10 cm.
The girls are out playing in the snow as I write. I stopped to take a photo of them
playing in the backyard.
Santa visit
We headed to the mall tonight to visit Santa. Even though it was a Thursday night
around 6:00 pm, we still waited around half an hour. The girls don't think it was
the same guy as last year, but I think it is. Here is the picture of the girls and
Santa.
Shovelling and Swimming!
We had some snow overnight and after coming home from church, Angela was looking
to shovel some snow. She ended up across the street shovelling the neighbours sidewalk.
Today was the last swimming lesson for the girls. They all did an excellent job
and have come a long way since the end of September. Both Angela and Gillian have
moved to the next level. Considering Claudia's age and size, her teacher is amaze
at what she can do.
Gillian turns 10!
Today is Gillian's birthday, it's hard to believe she is already ten.
Here she is 10 years ago.
Claudia trying on Gillian's new vest.
Back in town...
Back from my trip to Quebec, posted a couple of things on my work
blog. I have at least one more trip back to Westport before Christmas and that
should be it for traveling until the new year.
