Today was Emi's 2nd Birthday party. She had not forgotten how to open presents since Christmas.

The blog got pushed to the back burner the last couple of weeks. I was working on another project, that was starting to consume my time in the evenings. The girls had the first week of January off with Susan, while I went back to work on the 3rd. The tree got taken down and the school crafts were put away.

Since we are a cable/satellite free home, we watch movies more than anything else. I had been planning down the road on upgrading our 19" television to something bigger and either a plasma or LCD. We didn't go either of those routes, instead we purchased an LCD projector. With the picture on the wall, the Muppet Show looks like this.

The screen size is about 87". I now have the projector mounted on the ceiling. One of the other reasons for going this route is so we can view our digital pictures without everyone huddled around the monitor. So this is the project that was taking over my life and the basement. With a little research on the internet I made this bracket for the ceiling mount.

The girls have started back into swimming lessons, these will go until mid March, as well Angela is doing swimming lessons at school once a week. The other project we worked on this past weekend was the Grade 2 geometric shapes project. Angela decided she wanted to make a model of a dinosaur. We gathered our spheres, prisms and cubes and came up with an Angelasaurus Rex. Here is a picture of Angela painting her model.
