Took a detour off of the 103 on my way to Dartmouth this afternoon. Staying the night there before catching a flight to Deer Lake tomorrow. Drove a part of the Lighthouse Route along the South Shore.
A lone bird swimming in the water.
My ride for my time in Nova Scotia. It is a Mitsubushi Endeavor AWD.
Along the route is the Swiss Air Memorial Site.
The Memorial Wall.
Inscription on the wall.
A map of the area forms a triangle, the crash site and the two main communities that were involved. The memorial site is in Bayswater.
The base of the memorial forms a triangle. The line leading into the photos points to the crash site and the diagonal line points to the community of Whaleback.
Some of the remains are buried here.
One of the beaches across from the memorial site.
Picked up some sand for my collection.
Boats in one of the many coves along the route.
Traps?
Typical colours in these communities.
Freshly carved sticks for something.
