Princess Angela
Angela had a school project where she had to describe the day in the life of a medieval person. She picked a medieval princess, part of the project was they had to dress like that person. Here she is in here princess costume.

I'm down in Nova Scotia this week, the start of a busy summer at work. Follow along at From Here To There. **Note: Updated a few more days
Claudia is off to Brownie camp this weekend. They are camping at Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area.
I got home from the airport, changed and then we were all in the van to take her to camp.
Here she is before we left.
On our way back Susan spotted this deer in the bush at the side of the road.
I went with Claudia's class to the Humber Arboretum at Humber College on Thursday. We spent the day walking through the meadows, woodlots and exploring pond life. This is the New Centre for Urban Ecology.
This cardinal was singing near the river.
Our guide holding some fox scat on a stick. The foxes have returned to the area after a brief absence.
A reminder that we're still in the city.
A beaver lodge at the side of the river.
We saw some mallard ducks, this guy was swimming in the river.
Then he hopped up on the rock and shook himself off.
While we were looking at the ducks, a family of Canada geese came swimming up and the walked up to the pathway.
There were eight gosling's under the watchful eye of Mom and Dad.
Claudia and the geese.
We saw a raccoon sleeping in a tree, that is his leg hanging out of the tree.
This was the nest of a Cooper's Hawk, you can see the tail hanging out. The guides think the babies hatched the day before because it never left the nest all day.
The back side of the Ecocentre.
They had a couple of turtles in a tank inside the building.
The other turtle.
The kids enjoyed finding different bugs in the pond.
The weather was great, it was a neat place to visit, we'll have to go back with the rest of the family and explore.
Today was Claudia's birthday party with some of her friends from school. It is a little overdue, but at the end of May we were busy and Gillian was at camp the one weekend. Claudia was just as excited two weeks later. Here she is opening her presents.
A new box of Perler beads.

I was in Longue-Pointe-De-Mingan from the 24th-28th, making a site visit. It was my first time to the site. See some of the photos of the area at my work blog From Here To There.
There were some early firework celebrations on the court behind us. This year they were pretty good.
