Keeping Me Busy

I stepped up and volunteered for the School Council, not just the School Council, but the Chair of the School Council. The original plan was for Susan to become the Chair this year, but with her new position, that wasn't an option. It should be interesting with my work travel schedule. We'll see how things go this year, it is also a transition year for the financial reporting end of things.

Chocolate Mint Cookies

We ended up with four cases of Chocolate Mint Girl Guide cookies this year. We have sold 2.5 cases so far. The girls went out to the neighbourhood today and sold two cases. If anyone wants some, let us know and we'll put some aside.

Living Out Of My Suitcase

I'll be living out of my suitcase for the next little while. I am back on the road this month. Among the places I've been or are heading to are Lac Edouard, QC; Madison, Wisconsin and Regina, SK. I was in Lac Edouard this past week and had an encounter with a moose. See the work blog "From Here To There" to read all about it.

Happy Thanksgiving

We headed into Dundas for turkey dinner today. Susan and I took a walk over to the Driving Park to see the progress on the renovations.

Madison, Wisconsin

I was down in Madison, Wisconsin this past week for meetings and a scientific symposium. Not for the political rally. Check out the work blog.

Fall Day

Angela is at Guide camp this weekend. They went to Camp Wyoka. Today Claudia, Gillian, Riley and I rode our bikes over to the school to play some soccer.

Easy to draw, hard to spell

I was out in Saskatchewan this past week, my final trip for at least a few weeks. The weather was good, no snow like they got Thanksgiving weekend. Check out the photos on the work blog.

Pumpkin Carving

We started our pumpkin carving today. The girls cleaned out their pumpkins. We got these pumpkins at Superstore a few weeks ago, they were $2.00 each. Angela working on her pumpkin. My Canon S1 camera finally died on me, I started having problems when I was in Madison and tonight it quit. I was up to 14,219 photos on this camera. I'm using Susan's camera for now. I was hoping my camera would last until next summer when I was planning to buy a digital SLR.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween. The girls were all set for Halloween, they all had some sort of Halloween event at Brownies, Guides and Pathfinders earlier in the week. They had a Halloween dance at school today, I was off so I was at the school doing some School Council stuff. Claudia went out as Minnie Mouse. We couldn't have had any better weather for Trick or Treating.

Finally Gillian had Beaker and Dr Bunsen Honeydew on her pumpkin. Gillian left hers a little late so she did Honeydew and I did Beaker for her.
